What the walkthrough covers.
Installing the extension
Adding MailSenseAI from the Chrome Web Store and pinning it next to the Gmail toolbar.

The one-tap authorization that puts the signal sidebar inside Gmail. No credit card, no separate password.
Sending a tracked email

Reading the signal
Opens, clicks, and replies landing in the sidebar in real time — plus who is reading right now.

- 01
Add to Gmail
Install the extension from the Chrome Web Store and pin it. Nothing is added to your emails — no signature, no footer, on any plan.
- 02
Sign in
Authorize with the Google account you send from. The MailSenseAI sidebar appears inside Gmail on the next page load.
- 03
Send a tracked email
Compose as usual. Tracking is on by default and toggles per message from the compose bar.
- 04
Watch the signal
Opens, clicks, and replies stream into the sidebar as they happen, and into the dashboard for the full history.
FAQ
Before you install.
- How long does MailSenseAI take to set up?
- About two minutes end to end: install from the Chrome Web Store, authorize the Google account you send from, and send. There is no credit card and no separate account to create.
- Do I need a paid plan to follow along?
- No. Everything in the walkthrough — unlimited open, click, and reply tracking plus the in-Gmail sidebar — is on the free plan. Pro adds unlimited AI follow-up drafts and the deeper analytics.
- Does the person I email see anything?
- Nothing is appended to your message. MailSenseAI adds an invisible tracking pixel and, if you turn click tracking on, rewrites links to redirect through our domain. An optional consent footer exists if you would rather disclose tracking, and it is off unless you switch it on.
- Does this work in browsers other than Chrome?
- The extension targets Chrome and Chromium browsers (Edge, Brave, Arc) with Gmail on the web. Signal you collect is visible anywhere you can open the dashboard, including on your phone.
